A blog post can mean only one thing: I have an assignment due and I'm procrastinating!

Don't worry; I'm making good progress on it. It's a two-page proposal and I'm mystifyingly half-done. "Mystifyingly" because it's hard to shoehorn a bullshit "we wanna play with toys" project into the serious form of an academic paper. Well, not hard; more like embarrassing. That's the word for an introduction that starts with "Parties are great. Everyone loves a good party."

To be honest, the only real problem with an introduction like that is finding a reference in the Association for Computing Machinery digital library to back it up.
